Publishing Strategies for the Open Access Era: Collaboration with Springer Nature

Date: 29 May 2024 (Wed)
Time: 2.30 pm – 3.30 pm (1h)

Join this upcoming seminar to discover how you can publish your work in Springer Nature’s Open Access Journal without paying the Article Processing Charges (APCs)!

The Library has recently signed a Transformative Agreement (TA) with Springer Nature, enabling PolyU authors to publish open access articles with a full waiver of APC. As part of this agreement, a limited quota of APC waivers is offered by Springer Nature for each year on a first-come-first-served basis. This seminar will provide you with valuable insights into this agreement and guide you through the process of submitting your publications to take advantage of this waiver.

All postgraduate students and researchers are welcome!

Agenda:

●  Choosing the right Journal

●  Crafting a strong manuscript: Top tips for getting published

●  Navigating the submission process

●  Understanding peer review

●  Copyright and permissions essentials

●  Ethical considerations in publishing and research transparency

●  Post-acceptance steps

●  Maximizing visibility and impact after publication

●  Promote your publication

●  Open access options and Transformative Agreements explained
