Effective October 17, 2017, the booking policy and use guidelines of REC Research Carrels C1-12 will be revised as follows:

  • Research Postgraduate Students
  • Visiting Scholars & Fellows, Visiting Staff and Visitors with valid PolyU smart card

Partial Closure of Library area for Building and Moving Works in Summer (May – Sep 2017)

For enhancing the study environment, building and moving works will be carried out in Library according to the schedule below:

If you need assistance in obtaining the books in Room L404, please contact P/F Loan & Return Counter for assistance.

Noise generated from the relocation and rectification works is unavoidable.  Library will try shortening the noisy work duration and minimize the disturbance. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. Thank you for your forbearance.

Suspension of Air-conditioning Supply on G/F- P/F (14 Apr 8:30am – 15 Apr 6:00pm)

Due to urgent repair work, supply of air-conditioning from G/F- P/F will be suspended from 14 April 2017 (8:30am) to 15 April 2017 (6:00pm). Room temperature may be slightly higher during the affected period. For quiet study areas, please proceed to other Library floors from 3/F to 5/F. For discussion areas, please consider using Room BC202 and BC215 if necessary.
