Library Liaison Groups

Student Library Liaison Group

With representatives from both undergraduate and postgraduate student bodies, the Student Library Liaison Group provides an established channel for students to articulate their needs and perspectives on Library services.

  • University Librarian (Chair)
  • Section Head (User Engagement)
  • Assistant Librarian (University Librarian's Office)
  • Three undergraduate student representatives nominated by Student Affairs Office
  • One research postgraduate student representative nominated by Graduate School
  • One taught postgraduate student representative nominated by individual school or faculty 

 

  • To solicit feedback on strategic directions and key developments of the Library
  • To provide input into the delivery and development of Library facilities, collection and services
  • To coordinate responses of student bodies on proposed changes to Library policies
  • To make recommendations to the Library

Library Liaison Officers Group

Represented by teaching or research staff from each academic department or school, and staff members from selected non-academic departments, the group provides feedback to the Library on services supporting instructional and research needs. Input collected will help the Library to validate its strategic directions and determine its priorities in various service areas.

 

  • To solicit feedback on strategic directions and key developments of the Library
  • To advise the Library on specific departmental needs related to teaching, learning and research
  • To provide input into the delivery and development of Library facilities, collection and services   
  • To raise the awareness of new Library initiatives to the Department
  • To coordinate responses of the Department on proposed changes to Library policies
