The Capacity Building Programme of the UGC T&L Project on Information Literacy is a professional development programme tailor designed for librarians of the eight participating institutions.
Programme content include (1) building collaborative partnerships, (2) research assignment design, and (3) information literacy (L) assessment. It will be conducted by Ms Lisa Janicke Hinchliffe of the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Two webinars with the overseas facilitators will be held to follow up and consolidate learning.

Goal:
- To provide professional training for librarians to build collaborative partnership with faculty members; research assignments design, and information assessment
- To develop librarian partnerships with faculty members to enhance IL teaching and learning in subject-related course context, in particular, for those parts of curriculum with strong research components
