MyiLibrary – Service temporarily unavailable (21:00 on 30 May 2015-03:00 on 31 May 2015)

Front staircase and nearby hallways from G/F to 5/F will be temporarily closed in selected periods for re-painting work from 22 May – 17 Jun 2015. Notices will be posted at the affected areas to indicate the alternative routes for accessing different floors. Paint smell may be emitted during the work period and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. Please approach the nearest counter if you need assistance.

Waterproofing work will be carried out at exterior wall on podium walkways and scaffolding will be erected at the void. We apologize for any inconvenience and noise that may cause. For silent study areas, please proceed to other floors.

Due to urgent repair work of water pipes, supply of fresh water will be suspended on 10 May 2015 (Sun) from 9:00am-6:00pm.

1. Multimedia Commons

   Electricity work will be conducted in Multimedia Commons in the week of 11 May 2015.  For safety reason, the following facilities will have been temporarily suspended from 11-15 May 2015.

For enhancing the study environment, carpet replacement will take place in the following areas:

• No Seat Reservation
  Reading areas in the Library will be patrolled at intervals and unattended belongings will be removed. Please be considerate, and vacate your seat once you have finished.
   
• More 24-Hour Study Areas
  In addition to the 24-hour Study Centre in Room L001, the Quiet Study Room in L003 on G/F will also be opened 24 hours during the period. Please access via the Core E entrance after Library closes.
   

Starting from 2 Apr 2015, G/F Teaching & Learning Lab 3 (Room L017) will be open to users when it is not occupied by Library workshops or events.

Starting from the same date, PCs in the following rooms are available for advance reservation on iBooking.

• Multimedia Commons IT Lounge
• G/F Teaching & Learning Lab 3 (Room L017)
