Library Service Hours during Mid-Autumn Festival & the Following Holiday
The Library will have special service hours during Mid-Autumn Festival and the following holiday as below:
Ventilation Enhancement in 3/F Research Enhancement Centre (Extended to 30 Aug 2014)
Please be informed that ventilation enhancement work in 3/F Research Enhancement Centre will be tentatively extended to 30 Aug. Some research carrels will be affected and fenced off during the work period.
Noise may be generated during the work period and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. Please approach the nearest counter if you need help.
Temporary Closure of Front Staircase from 1/F to 3/F (22 – 31 Aug 2014)
The front staircase from 1/F to 3/F will be temporarily closed from 22-31 Aug 2014 for flooring upgrade. Please use the back staircase or elevators for going to 1/F or 3/F during the period. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Partial Suspension of Air-Conditioning in Room L003 (18 - 22 Aug 2014)
Due to renovation work, air-conditioning will be partly suspended from 18 August 2014 at 9:00 am to 22 August 2014 at 5:00 pm. Room temperature may be slightly higher during this period.

Waterproofing work at 5/F Room L505 (16 - 27 Aug 2014)
Waterproofing work will be carried out on 5/F in Room L505 near the entrance. We apologize for any inconvenience and noise that may cause. For silent study areas, please proceed to other floors.
Temporary Closure of P/F Side Entrance (11 Aug - 22 Aug 2014)
Due to drainage work, the side entrance on P/F will be fenced off from 11 Aug to 22 Aug and noise may be generated intermittently near the work area. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Relocation of the Media Services to 4/F
Due to construction of the new Media Commons, the current Media Services Counter and viewing area will be relocated to the 4th floor from 11 Aug 2014. Loan of AV materials will remain NORMAL. Limited viewing services are also available. All computer workstations will be relocated to the Research Enhancement Centre on 3/F temporarily. For group discussion, please use the Discussion Zone on G/F, the Multi-purpose Hall on P/F, or Research Lounge on 5/F. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.
