More study space is now available in Room L303 on 3/F of the Library during exam period. Carrels and tables are available for quiet study and five group study rooms are available for booking at the Loan & Return Counter. Please enter the room via the back stairs (near the Research Help Desk) as part of the room is fenced off due to installation work still in progress.
Reading areas in the Library will be patrolled at intervals and unattended belongings will be removed. Please be considerate, and vacate your seat once you have finished.
In addition to the 24-hour Study Centre in Room L001, the Quiet Study Room in L003 on G/F will also be opened 24 hours during the period. Please access via the Core E entrance after Library closes.
SILENCE must be observed in the Library. Noisy users may be asked to leave the Library.
Need help in finding useful information for your research? Come to the Research Help Desk on the 3/F in the Research Enhancement Centre. Our professional Librarians will assist you in making use of research tools and provide pointers to our resources for supporting your research.
For supporting users' collaborative and individual study in the Library, a number of notebook PCs and MacBooks are provided for short term loan to PolyU staff and students.

The Library is pleased to introduce the Self-checkout service in the Reserve Collection. Users can now check out reserve books on hourly and 7-day loan on their own. Just swipe your Student/Staff/Library card, put the books on the workstations and you are done. Don’t forget to collect your loan receipts for record and return the reserve books to the Circulation Counter on time.
