State Papers Online Colonial is a digitization program of the Colonial Office files of the British Government, now housed at The National Archives, United Kingdom. These documents record Britain's administration and governance of countries under Britain's colonial rule, their international relations across the period, and the changing demographics and daily life of their inhabitants. It include Part I: Far East, Hong Kong, and Wei-Hai-Wei and Part II: Singapore, East Malaysia, and Brunei.

We can access part I and II of "State Papers Online Colonial: Asia" now. But the access to part II will end on 15 Aug 2025. In addition, we have complimentary access to State Papers Online Colonial: Asia, Part IV: Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong in 2025/2026.

 

The database is also accessible via Gale Primary Sources.
