Starting in July 2025, the Library will introduce new service arrangements aimed at optimising the allocation and utilisation of manpower and resources. While our opening hours will stay the same, you will notice some adjustments to our counter hours at the Podium Service Counter, 4/F Technical Support Desk and the WhatsApp Enquiry Services. Details are as follows:
The Technical Support Desk at 4/F i-Space and the WhatsApp Enquiry Service will be available during office hours, from 09:00 to 17:00 on weekdays, excluding public holidays. For the latest arrangements, please visit webpages on i-Space Facilities and WhatsApp a Librarian.
To enhance your library experience, we are continually integrating AI and emerging technologies into our services such as the Library AI Chatbot - LiBot, AI OneSearch Lite and the Library Mobile App, etc. This summer, we will further expand our array of self-service facilities, including:
- A Virtual Assistant for user enquiries
- Self-service JULAC Library Card Collection Stations
- A dedicated book drop for returning books from HKALL and Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
Minor modifications will be carried out at the Podium Service Counter in late June 2025 to accommodate these exciting new self-service options, providing you with greater flexibility and convenience.
