We are excited to announce the launch of LiBot, our 24/7 Library AI chatbot! 

This innovative AI-powered chatbot helps you find information and answer your queries about our library services, anytime and anywhere. Source links from Library website, guides and FAQs are provided for your easy verification. 

To start a chat with LiBot is easy! Simply click the LiBot icon on the right side of our Library website

Library Opening Hours and Weekend Counter Service Hours (Effective July 2024)

Effective July 2024, the Library will close at 23:00 every day during term time, with Library opening hours on Sunday extended from 22:00 to 23:00 except public holidays. The weekend counter service hours will also be adjusted as highlighted in green below:

The 24-Hour Study Centre located at 1/F North Wing will open around the clock. After Library closes, eligible users may access the Centre via the 1/F entrance opposite to the Campus Control Centre (P111) and tap their PolyU student / staff ID cards when entering and leaving the Centre.

Publishing Strategies for the Open Access Era: Collaboration with Springer Nature

Join this upcoming seminar to discover how you can publish your work in Springer Nature’s Open Access Journal without paying the Article Processing Charges (APCs)!

The Library has recently signed a Transformative Agreement (TA) with Springer Nature, enabling PolyU authors to publish open access articles with a full waiver of APC. As part of this agreement, a limited quota of APC waivers is offered by Springer Nature for each year on a first-come-first-served basis. This seminar will provide you with valuable insights into this agreement and guide you through the process of submitting your publications to take advantage of this waiver.

All postgraduate students and researchers are welcome!

Mimmi Mononen
Associate Editor, PHD, Springer Nature, China

Mimmi joined Nature Communications in September 2022. She received her PhD from Karolinska Institutet, where she studied early human heart development using single-cell RNA sequencing. She continued using single-cell technologies during her postdoc at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where she worked on cancer stem cells. Mimmi handles manuscripts relating to single-cell biology. She is based in the Hong Kong office.

scite is an AI platform that uses Smart Citations to evaluate scientific articles by showing reference context and indicating supporting or contrasting evidence. This tool can assist scholars in undertaking citation analysis and examining the publication landscape of their research topics.
