This is a combined collection of the papers of five American missionary family and individuals who had spent years in China and India between 1818 and 1972: The Rockey and Cady Family missionary papers, 1887-1970 (primarily based in India and China); The Sheldon and Fife family papers, 1818-1936 (Dehra Dun, Mussoorie, Rawal Pindi, and Ludhiana, India and Shanghai, China); The Frederick and Myra Scovel papers, 1930-1972 (Tsining, Huai Yuan, and Canton in China; and Ludhiana, India); The Clarence Burton Day papers, 1914-1971 (Hangchow, China and Lahore, India [now Pakistan]); and the The Murray Scott Frame and Alice Seymore Brown Frame papers, 1901-1916 (Lahore, India and Beijing, China).
