It stands as the most comprehensive and authoritative digital collection of classical texts related to Confucianism. Published by De Gruyter Brill in close partnership with Peking University, it features a meticulously curated selection of high-quality Confucian texts. These include longstanding transmitted classics and commentaries alongside recently excavated manuscripts from sites across China.

The collection is systematically organized into the traditional four categories: Classics (經 Jing), Histories (史 Shi), Philosophies/Masters (子 Zi), and Literature (集 Ji). Each text draws from the best available editions, presented with uniform modern punctuation for readability and enriched by detailed editor’s notes on authorship, significance to Confucian thought, and textual variants.
