《萬方數據．新方志》（又稱《中國地方志數據庫．新方志》）主要收錄1949年後編纂出版的地方志文獻（新編地方志），內容涵蓋省、市、縣、鄉鎮等各級行政區域，以及部門志、企業志、地名志、學科志等各類專志。

新方志被譽為當代中國特色的地方性百科全書，全面記錄各地區的自然地理、歷史沿革、政治經濟、文化教育、社會風俗及人物傳記等豐富內容，為研究中國地方發展、社會變遷與歷史文化的重要參考資源。
