《新聞報》於上海創刊，其涵蓋的內容非常廣泛。主要包括以下幾個核心面向：

  • 政治與經濟情勢： 追蹤並報導當時的國內外政經局勢與重大事件。

  • 正文與時事資訊： 紀錄了十九世紀末至二十世紀中期，中國大都會在西風東漸（西方文化傳入）影響下的社會發展。

  • 圖片與廣告： 報紙中所刊登的歷史圖片及商業廣告，真實還原了近代中國的社會文化生活與消費面貌。
