《大公報》由英斂之於天津創辦,"忘己之為大,無私之謂公"即報名"大公"的寓意，也是中國近代史上最重要的民營報紙之一。是近代重要綜合性媒體之一，常見大量新聞、評論與深度報導，適合做歷史事件與媒體論述分析。
