All current and bound journals are relocated to G/F Room L019. To leave more study and discussion space for our users, a new compact shelving system has been installed in Room L019 to accommodate the bound journal collection. Current journals and newspapers (back issues) are housed at the display units nearby. To read current issues of newspapers and some popular journal titles, users may find them at the Current Awareness Centre or request them at the Loan & Return Counter on P/F.

Self-checking of AV Materials Coming Soon

Self-checking of AV Materials Coming SoonThe Library will introduce the self-checkout service in the AV Collection by mid-Sep 2015. Users will be able to check out AV materials on their own, starting with the DVDs as the first batch followed by other formats very soon.

The user-friendly self-check stations inside the AV Collection on the 3/F of the Library employ RFID and touch screen technology. Just tap your Student/Staff/Library smart card or place your Library card under the barcode reader, key in your Library PIN, put the AV materials on the self-check stations and you are done.

Don’t forget to collect your loan receipts for record and return the AV materials to the Multimedia Commons Counter on time.

If you need assistance, our friendly counter staff at the Multimedia Commons are always ready to help.
