Aeronautics and Space Flight: Global Origins of Modern Aviation and Rocketry is a fully searchable digitised primary source collection from Readex (NewsBank), drawn from the Archives of the Central Intelligence Agency. Covering the period 1957–1995, it brings together tens of thousands of English-translated documents — including journal articles, government reports, newspapers, magazines, and transcribed broadcasts — from around the world.

This collection chronicles the rapid global development of modern aviation, aeronautics, and rocketry during the Cold War era and the Space Age. It captures key milestones such as the space race, the Apollo 11 Moon landing, advancements in military aviation (e.g., B-52 bombers), satellite technology, and the rise of commercial aviation, offering unique international perspectives on the scientific, military, political, and cultural impacts of aerospace innovation.
