The phrase "Feng Yi Zu Shi", translated as (literally "bBeing well-clad and well-fed"), captures the essence of ancient Chinese ideals for a propserousprosperous thriving society — a place where basic needs are fulfilled, thus allowing culture, creativity, and harmony to flourish.
This book exhibition dives into the living culture of ancient China, where practical livelihood skills are intertwined with ancient wisdom and philosophy in everyday life. 「豐衣足食」一詞,源自古人對富足生活的嚮往,不僅描繪了衣食無憂的日常,更蘊含中華文化中「物阜民安」的理念。從農耕織造到節慶禮俗,市井百態到雅士風尚,古代中國人將生活智慧融入衣食住行,構築出獨特而深厚的文化底蘊。
本次展覽精選中英文古籍與現代研究著作,透過飲食文化、服飾演變、民生技藝、古代建築、節慶習俗等主題,帶領讀者一窺古代生活的多元面貌。展品涵蓋《隨園食單》、《長物志》等文獻,並輔以圖像史料。
