Walter Chauncey Camp (1859-1925) was known as "The Father of American Football". Camp was a prolific letter writer who corresponded with Yale football stars, football coaches throughout the United States, authors, publishers, and prominent political U.S. political figures. In addition to extensive correspondence, the collection includes newspaper and magazine clippings which Walter Camp collected from the local press and from subscription clipping services across the country, photographs, and family papers.
