State Papers Online provides access to the British State Papers, the papers of the Secretary of State from Henry VIII's accession in 1509 to 1782. Part III: The Stuarts and Commonwealth, James I-Anne I, 1603-1714: State Papers Domestic provides State papers relating to various aspects of Stuart domestic policy in the 17th century, such as the government’s handling of the Gunpowder Plot, the buildup to the Civil War, and the Restoration of the monarchy.
