State Papers Online Colonial is a publishing program for the digitization of the Colonial Office files of the British Government, now housed at The National Archives, UK. Asia, Part IV: Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong includes the confidential original correspondence relating to Malaysia and Singapore as well as a register of out-letters of the Federated Malay States and a collection of post-1940 maps and plans of British Malaya. To these are added ten-plus Hong Kong-related collections of Colonial Office files, Prime Minister's Office correspondence and papers, Cabinet Office committee files, Ministry of Defense registered files, and British Council registered files. Together these records provide a perfect complement to modules 1- 3 of the series on the history of Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong. It comprises 1,111 volumes from CO 131, 132, 537, 787, 1054; PREM 3, 8, 11, 13, 15, 16, and 19; BW 94; DEFE 11; and CAB 165/623, with dates ranging from 1844 to 1997.
