State Papers Online Colonial is a publishing program for the digitization of the Colonial Office files of the British Government, now housed at The National Archives, UK. Asia, Part III: Malay States, Malaya, and Straits Settlements includes material focused on the Straits Settlements, the Federated Malay States, and the Federation of Malaya, and their relationships with other regions, spanning the early nineteenth-to the mid-twentieth centuries. It comprises 5,044 volumes from CO 273, 425, 426, 486, 717, 786, 889, and the relevant files from CO 700, 1022, 1030, 1047, and 1069, with dates ranging from 1807 to 1965.
