Contains over 100 multimedia books on a variety of subjects. Content of each book can be read aloud online.

You can locate multimedia e-books on iRead Hompage with just few clicks and access them off-campus with your NetID and NetPassword.

Note for New Users for offline reading:

  • After installing the app on your mobile device, choose "個人會員" and register a personal account. You need to verify the email address before you proceed. 
  • Then move to "圖書館賬號" tab to connect with PolyU. Note that for the first time, you need to connect to a campus WiFi network (e.g. PolyUWLAN or Eduroam) to authenticate yourself as a PolyU user. 
  • Find "香港理工大學 The Hong Kong Polytechnic University" from the list, then confirm to complete the authentication ("單位權限綁定"). 

Download Apps*:  

*Please note that the iRead App has been renamed to "書紐教育版". For those using Airiti Reader, you need not download a new app—simply update your existing Airiti Reader to the latest version.


Important Notes:

  • Users should not use Virtual Private Network (VPN) service when accessing e-resources from off campus. This may trigger suspension of user's account.
  • For security reason, you are advised to change NetPassword regularly via IdPortal and follow the password rules. Please visit the ITS website for details.
