Have you been to the Digital Makerspace? It is inside the i-Space and located at 4/F North Wing of the Library. Our Makerspace offers hands-on workshops and technical support to encourage students from all disciplines to learn and operate the easy-to-use digital and fabrication tools.

Our Makerspace is running by a team of staff that enjoy building and creating stuff, here are some of our energetic, creative and helpful team members:
 
Teddy Lee

Teddy spends most of his days on coding. He also develops and maintains the Internet of Things (IoT) Corner in our Makerspace. The IoT Corner provides IoT devices loan service. You can use the tools of the IoT to start a proof-of-concept stage for your design.
Ken Lam

With 3D printers and software to design 3D models or prototypes, it allows you to go from code to creation. Ken helped the team tested and troubleshooting 3D printers. He is our in-house expert on 3D printing.
 
 
 
Sally Lam

Sally supports our student to gain hands-on experience in using the Virtual Reality (VR) technology in our VR Experience Zone. Sally also works with her teammates in running the VR Contest 2018/19. Through a series of talks and workshops, participants can learn VR techniques and 3D modelling tools to create story in VR.
Tabby Poon

Tabby has rich experience in working with design software and using laser cutter/engraver to engrave materials including wood and plastics. Tabby has begun a workshop series to introduce new users to laser cutting and engraving as well. Click here for details.
 

Meet your Faculty Librarians!

The Library has a team of Faculty Librarians (FLs) who are happy to provide quality Library service to support the University's learning, teaching and research initiatives. FLs are responsible to provide subject-related consultancy services, conduct orientations and workshops and play an important role in liaison with faculties on Library collections and services, etc.
