CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure) is one of the largest multi-disciplinary electronic platforms. It mainly contains full texts of Chinese resources on various forms, including books, journal articles, theses, yearbooks, newspapers, etc. CNKI has recently upgraded its interface to get a fresher look. Researchers can search different types of information/materials via the following sub-collections in CNKI:

數字圖書館 CADAL

CADAL (China Academic Digital Associative Library) is a China book digitization project which includes over 2.5 million digitized books, newspapers, journals, etc. Resources available in the platform are highlighted as follows:

 

 

As a member of CADAL, PolyU staff and students can access to the full texts of the collections on and off campus via EZproxy after registering a personal account.

讀秀中文學術搜索 Duxiu Academic Search

Duxiu is an index of Chinese resources. Known as “Chinese Google Scholar”, the platform provides access to a huge amount of scholar resources in multi-disciplinary subjects, and also on various formats, such as books, journal articles, theses and dissertations, newspapers, conference papers, etc.

Full texts are available for many titles, especially for journal articles and books. To get full text of articles, you can make a request via clicking on 邮箱接收全文on the article page. For some books, preview is available only for the first 20 pages. You can further request via图书馆文献传递 to get full text for no more than 50 pages per submission.
