- What is ORCID?
ORCID is an open, non-profit, community-driven effort to create and maintain a registry of unique researcher identifiers and a transparent method of linking research activities and outputs to these identifiers.
The ORCID is a URI with a 16-digit number that is compatible with the ISO Standard (ISO 27729). It is expressed as a HTTP URI; the number is proceeded by "http://orcid.org/"
Adding Publications to your ORCID Profile There are three ways to add works to your ORCID record:
- Link your works from another system. (This is the recommended process)
- Import a BibTeX file of your works
- Manually type in information about your works
