This webinar links Ted Chiang's collection of short stories Exhalation to important current issues and famous questions about the meaning of our lives and how we treat others. By participating you will discover the real-life scientific and philosophical questions that Chiang's stories seek to provide answers for. About the Speaker

Dr Andrew Morrall is a Senior Teaching Fellow of the English Language Centre (ELC). He has been working at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University since 1995. His experience has been as an English language teacher, a university lecturer, and the subject leader of the popular CAR courses - ELC1A01 Science Fiction as a Reflection on Humanity and ELC1A04 From Lord of the Rings to Harry Potter: Fantasy, Reality and Humanity.
