Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) is a multidisciplinary database which indexes approximately 1,500 journals currently. It expands the citation universe and reflects the growing global body of science and scholarly activity. ESCI complements the highly selective indexes by providing earlier visibility for sources under evaluation as part of Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), Social Science Citation Index (SSCI), and Arts & Humanities Citation Index (AHCI)’s rigorous journal selection process. Inclusion in ESCI provides greater discoverability which leads to measurable citations and more transparency in the selection process.

To access the content from the ESCI collection only, make sure you select ESCI from the Edition's menu.
