Re-opening of 4/F & 5/F South Wings of the Library
Good news for Library users who look for places for their quiet study: South Wing of 5/F (L501) of the Library has been re-opened after a three-month renovation and the works at 4/F South Wing (L401) are almost complete.
The areas have been given a facelift and they now offer a variety of furniture such as study carrels, study booths, study tables with partitions, etc. for quiet study. In order to support users in using portable devices for their study and research, these new study places are equipped with power sockets and USB ports. Besides, the bookshelves at 4/F & 5/F South Wings have been re-arranged to provide more study space. To enhance the study atmosphere and create a comfortable environment, we have also replaced the ceiling panels and adjusted the lighting system for the new layout.
Library staff are acting as fast as we can to move books with call numbers ranging from A-G and HF-K back on shelves in L501 and L401 for browsing and reading. Take the books you need and borrow them at the Loan & Return Counter on P/F. In case the books you need cannot be found on shelves yet, please approach our friendly staff at the Loan & Return Counter on P/F for assistance.
