Video Wall in Seminar Room

Located in the Seminar Room in the Research Enhancement Centre on 3/F, the Video Wall is a 3-metre (width) by 1.7-metre (height) display consisting of nine LED TV panels, which combined, can render ultra-high resolutions up to 18.6 million pixels (5760 x 3240). The Video Wall is the perfect tool for large scale graphic visualisation in research seminars, and for facilitating collaboration, through the ability to wirelessly connect your own devices (such as iPad, tablet, notebook computer, etc.) to project images, videos, and research data on the Video Wall.

Current PolyU students, academic, research and administrative staff are welcome to reserve the Video Wall and the Seminar Room for research related activities. Please click here for more information.

Tool to Locate Software in Library Public PCs

The Library provides a variety of software in the public PCs. Due to license restriction, some graphic and statistic software like Adobe Create Suite (After Effects, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) and SPSS can only be provided in selected PCs. As such, the Library has recently developed a tool for you to locate the software provided in the Library public PCs efficiently. Please visit the following URL for details:

New iMac Computers available at 3/F Multimedia Commons (MC)

In order to strengthen the support for graphic design and video production, the Library has upgraded tthe iMac computers in Multimedia Commons (3/F) to new iMac. Adobe software is available for use on those computers to maximize your productivity.

Upgrade of Notebook Equipment in Learning Labs
To enhance the user experience and to better support the Library workshops and seminars, the notebooks in Learning Lab 1 & 2 of Research Enhancement Centre (3/F) have been upgraded and installed with numerous software such as MS Office 2016, EndNote, Mendeley and Zotero, etc.
