Its content is easily searchable by building type, material, location, and various other criteria.

《當代中文報紙資料庫》是一套以中國當代報紙為核心的全文資料庫系統，全面收錄各級黨報、綜合新聞類報紙及業界專業報紙，從政治、經濟、文化、教育、民生等多角度展現當代中國的變遷與發展。

此資料庫集文獻檢索與報紙瀏覽於一體，在原版原式閱讀的基礎上提供深度檢索與應用功能。目前已收錄中文報紙近500種，最早回溯至1949年，包含約800萬版報紙版面與2億條新聞文獻。

內容涵蓋中央級報紙20餘種，如人民日報、環球時報、中國青年報、解放軍報、參考消息、科技日報、經濟日報等 ; 省級報紙50餘種，如北京日報、解放日報、廣州日報、深圳特區報、大眾日報等，以及行業報紙100餘種，如中國石化報、中國航空報、證券時報、中國經營報、中國醫藥報、中國體育報、中華讀書報等，為研究中國近現代社會、政策與文化提供了權威而豐富的資源。
