The photo and video may be related to any of following Library services:

Information Resources | Books, Media and Journals, Streaming Media, HKALL and Interlibrary Loan, OneSearch |
Help Services and People | Help Desks, Ask a Librarian, Whatsapp a Librarian, Library Workshops, Guides and Tutorials |
Facilities and Equipment | Computer Workstations, Copiers, Printers & Scanners, Mobile and Notebook Loan/Printing, Studios etc. |
PolyU Collections | Institutional Repository, Exam Database, Electronic Thesis, PolyU Good Reads, Course Readings |
Judging Criteria:
Originality, creativity, content, inspiration, educational value, artistic appeal and relevancy to the objective above.

- All submissions will be reviewed by Library Photo and Video Contest Committee. Finalists will be uploaded to the Library’s homepage for voting by the PolyU community.
- The winners are determined by votes from PolyU students and staff (weighted at 50%), and votes from Library Photo and Video Contest Committee comprising Library staff and teaching staff from School of Design (50%).
- Each entrant will only be awarded once in each of the above contest category.
Photo Submission:
- Each entrant can submit up to three photos individually.
- Title of the photo should be provided.
- File Format: .jpeg in high resolution (at least 1280x1024 pixel, max. size of 5MB).
- Edited or digitally enhanced photos are also accepted.
Video Submission:
- Each entrant can submit up to two video clips, either individually or in group.
- The length of the video should not exceed one minute.
- Title of the video should be provided.
- Upload the video to your YouTube account; and provide the URL of the video during submission. Check the instructions provided by YouTube if needed.

Important Notes:
- Do not disturb other Library users when filming. Use of flashes, other external lighting equipment and tripod are prohibited in the Library. If any disturbance is caused, Library staff may ask the participant to cease filming/photographing immediately.
- If the photo/video shows a person’s face, the entrant must have obtained his/her prior permission first.
- By entering the competition, the entrant agrees to abide by the rules of the competition and decision of the Library Photo and Video Contest Committee.
Copyright:
- The entrant grants PolyU Library an unrestricted royalty-free license to use, edit, display, distribute, and/or broadcast the submitted work(s) for any purpose and in any medium.
- Each entry must be an original work taken by the entrant. The entrant warrants that the entry does not, and its use by the Library will not, infringe the rights (including intellectual property rights) of any third party.
