Staff promotions

The Library is pleased to announce the promotions for three Library staff, namely Ms Christine Ho, Ms Aster Zhao and Ms Iris Wai effective 1 March 2019.
 
Ms Christine Ho See Way has been promoted to Assistant Librarian (User Experience & Outreach). Christine now plays an important role in co-coordinating the campus-wide READ@PolyU programme and the Library social media. She is also the Faculty Librarian (English Language) who serves as liasion to the Department of English and the English Language Centre.

Ms Aster Zhao Lu and Ms Iris Wai Shuk Han in the Research Support Section have been promoted to Assistant Librarian and Assistant Librarian II respectively. In their new roles, they will continue to deliver a wide range of high quality, relevant and useful research support services for the University. Aster now serves as the Faculty Librarian (Construction and Environment) and Faculty Librarian (Engineering), while Iris acts as the Faculty Librarian (Chinese, Bilingual Studies and General Education).

New blood to the Library

Miss Stella Ma Ying Ying joined the Library as Assistant Technical Officer (Planning and Project Development) on 10 April 2019. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Media from City University of Hong Kong and became a multimedia producer. In her new position, she will focus on the production of digital objects for the Library.

Ms Rita Wong Kam Wai, our new Executive Officer (Access Services), assumed duty on 23 April 2019. Her major responsiblities include management of book stacks, and coordination of collection shifting, weeding and RFID tagging projects. She received her Master's degree in Library and Information Management from University of Hong Kong, and Bachelor's degree in Information Engineering from Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Miss Cynthia Ho Chin Wan joined the Library as Library Assistant (Access Services) on 24 April 2019. Cynthia, together with her teammates, delivers circulation services at the Loan and Return Counter. She has obtained the Postgraduate Certificate in Archival Studies from HKU School of Professional and Continuing Education.
