To centralize the counter location and improve the responsiveness to users’ enquiries, the Circulation Counter, Enquiry Desk, and Research Help Desk have been re-arranged. Research Help Desk on 3/F has been relocated to P/F and combined with Enquiry Desk. The new counters is named as Loan & Return Counter and Enquiry Counter.

To accommodate the need on study, research and learning spaces of our students and staff, Research Carrels (Zone B) in Research Enhancement Centre (REC) are converted to 60 bookable quiet study seats. They are available for reservation one day in advance via iBooking. New check-in stations (see the photo on the right) for the seats are set up next to the enquiry phone. Users are advised to check out by tapping their Student/Staff ID Card at nearby console after they finish using the seats.

To improve the accessibility of the room, the Special Equipment Room has been relocated to the other end near the disable lift and back staircase on 4/F South Wing. It is equipped with special personal computers, powerbraille, scanners, magnifying devices and speech synthesizer software.
