Flexible renewal of loaned materials

Loaned materials can be renewed online by clicking the “myRecord" icon in the Library homepage and sign in to your Library account. An item may be renewed any number of times from the date of the initial check-out until the due date reaches the limit of the maximum renewal period, if it is not requested by other users. If the renewal is accepted, the new due date will be shown on screen. Overdue books may also be renewed and fines still need to be paid when books are returned. Reserve books, Closed Reserve items, and AV items on 3-day loan cannot be renewed.

Use of official university email account for receiving Library notices

To comply with the PolyU Electronic Messaging Usage Policy, all Library notices are sent to your official University email account (i.e. PolyU or CPCE email address) which is an official means for communicating University business. The personal email address which you have added in library account (MyRecord) is no longer valid.

The Library uses the email address assigned by the PolyU Information Technology Services (i.e. xxx@connect.polyu.hk or xxx@polyu.edu.hk) as the default and only email address for sending library notices to PolyU students and staff. Existing PolyU staff who do not already have an email address, please made a NetID registration at PUSecure Identity Portal at your earliest convenience to create a NetID and email address in order to continue receiving library notices via email.

For CPCE (HKCC/SPEED) students and staff, the Library uses the email address assigned by CPCE Information Technology Unit to individuals as the default and only email address for sending library notices.
