數據庫共收錄自先秦至民國（西元前11世紀至西元20世紀初）歷代典籍1萬種、17萬卷，選用版本12,500個、20萬卷。每種典籍均製成數碼全文，並附所據版本及其他重要版本之原版影像。數據庫收錄範圍涵蓋全部中國歷史與文化，共分哲科、史地、藝文及綜合四庫, 具檢索功能, 可進行分類、條目及全文檢索。
包括中國1949年後出版的70萬種中文電子圖書，以人文、歷史和藝術書為主導，涵蓋社科文獻、檔案文獻、文史資料、年鑒、中國地方誌以及中國醫學的書籍。電子書庫提供全方位的、快速的全文檢索功能。
