Revitalization

For further improving the Library environment to accommodate users’ needs, a number of building works have been conducted over the last summer.  Some of them have been completed while the remaining will be finished very soon.

Access Control System at Library Entrance Upgraded

The Access Control System at the Library entrance has been upgraded from the old turnstile system for enhanced security, reliability and operational efficiency.  The layout of the entrance area is modified to allow sufficient space for three lanes, with one of them wide enough for wheelchair access.

Flooring Upgrade for Front Staircases

The front staircase and nearby area have taken on an entirely new look. The flooring has been upgraded with new floor covering made of tough and slip-resistance materials.  Striping is added to make each step more visible.  In addition to the newly painted walls, the area now looks fresher and brighter.
