The Library has launched a new self-service Book Return Station on the exterior wall of the Library, providing a simpler and faster way for users to return Library materials anytime, 24x7.
As an ongoing effort to share the outstanding work by PolyU students to their peers and the wider community, five new feature stories of students’ award-winning work and inspiring projects nominated by faculties and schools have been added to the PolyU OWS Showcase (P/F of the Library) and online portal. Research achievements of the awardees of the PolyU PhD Thesis Award newly established by the Graduate School have also been incorporated into the OWS for the first time.

The new top floor (6/F) of the Library has come to service since 4 July 2022, which marked the completion of a major phase of the Library Extension and Revitalisation (LER) Project. The new upper floor significantly enhances the environment and facilities for collaborative learning and individual quiet study. The newly released PolyU Digital University Collection contains selected featured works and publications documenting the development of the University after 1951. For wider access, the collection is now available for open access by everyone, including the PolyU community and the general public.
This new academic year, the Library offers three self-paced online courses for students and staff to acquire the information and skills essential to their studies and research, including the use of citation management tool – EndNote 20.
