What Lies Ahead
The construction works of the new 6/F will continue throughout the year. In the coming summer, works including the construction of internal bridges connecting the North and South Wings, upgrading of passenger lifts, re-purposing of the space of 1/F, and renovation of the toilets at front staircase area will start in late May and expected to complete in September.Alternative quiet study spaces are available during the construction works period at S403 and Z302. Students and Library users may opt to use them for quiet study during the course of the construction works, while Library will maintain our regular services throughout the project period. The 24-Hour Study Centre will be relocated to 1/F North Wing in the summer of 2021. During the transitional period, temporary overnight study spaces are available for students at CD301-304 and Communal Space after Library closes.
