Celebrating the Winners of the 2023/24 Metaverse Contest and What’s Next for 2024/25


  • Winners of the First Metaverse Contest

    With the generous sponsorship from the Shun Hing Education and Charity Fund, the Department of Computing and the Library co-organised the first Metaverse Contest in 2023/24. A total of ten teams, comprising students from different disciplines, participated in the contest, showcasing their incredible talent and creativity. The competition was fierce, and we were amazed by the innovative projects presented. After the judges completed their review and selected the winners, the prize presentation ceremony was successfully held on 28 August 2024.

    Following the success of the Metaverse Contest 2023/24, we are thrilled to announce that this innovative and inspiring event will continue in the new academic year 2024/25. This year’s contest will once again provide a unique platform for students to showcase their creativity and technical prowess in the Metaverse. Whether competing individually or in teams, participants will have the opportunity to design and implement immersive virtual environments that push the boundaries of how we interact, study, and learn.
