Introduction of Our New Library Helper: The Book Transport Robot

Have you noticed a new face at our Self-Service Borrow and Return Stations on the Library Podium Floor? Our Book Transport Robot is now available to enhance your library experience!

This robot is designed to enhance the efficiency of the book return process, aligning with our continuous efforts to integrate digital technologies into our library services.

When returning borrowed books, please ensure that you first use the Self-check Stations to electronically process your returns and update your borrowing records. After completing this step, simply place the books into the bin of the robot. The robot will then transport the books from the Self-check Stations to the Podium Service Counter at designated intervals, thereby streamlining our workflow and saving valuable time.

Equipped with advanced sensors, the robot monitors the fullness of its bin. Library staff can summon it for unloading or as needed. This sophisticated technology ensures seamless operation and enhances the Library’s overall operational efficiency.

Keep an eye out for our robotic helper during your next visit to the Library. We appreciate your continued support as we strive to enhance our services.
