Enhancement of Computing and Printing Facilities

Over the past months, the Library has enhanced a range of computing and printing facilities. These enhancements are part of our ongoing commitment in supporting your learning, teaching and research needs.

High-Performance AI Computers for Advanced Work

The Library has introduced new high-performance AI workstations to support students and staff in exploring AI technologies. These computers are pre-installed with Large Language Models (LLMs), application programming interface (API) endpoints, popular programming languages and integrated development environments (IDEs), making them ideal for AI application development, data modelling and prototyping.

Multi-Function Printers with Enhanced E-Payment Options

Our new Multi-function Printers (MFPs) have been upgraded to support payments via both Octopus physical card and Octopus Card on Mobile. Additional e-payment options including AliPayHK and WeChat Pay are also available.

Additional Monitors for Laptop Users

Additional LED monitors have been installed on various floors for use with your own laptop computer. Signal cables (HDMI and USB-C), laptop stands and power source are also available for easy connections. These monitors are ideal for side-by-side document comparison, data analysis, coding and design work.
