Medicinal Berries and Impact on Type 2 Diabetes: New Feature Story in Outstanding Work by Students Showcase

Explore the enlightening journey undertaken by Zhang Xiaoxu, an undergraduate student from the Food Safety & Technology programme, during her investigation and research on harnessing the potential of extracts from two extraordinary berries, known for their medicinal qualities, to enhance gut health. Xiaoxu’s remarkable study has implications for managing type 2 diabetes and it is just one of the six new feature stories handpicked by our faculty to demonstrate and recognise the outstanding work by students in PolyU.

PolyU Outstanding Work by Students Project Shortlisted for Reimagine Education Awards 2023

The Library’s project “Empowering Lifelong Learning: Outstanding Work by Students Portal and Exhibition” was shortlisted for the prestigious Lifelong Learning Award 2023 by the Wharton-Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Reimagine Education. This achievement is particularly remarkable considering the intense competition, with over 1,200 submissions evaluated by a panel of international experts. It is a testament to the exceptional quality and innovative nature of the project, which has set it apart and garnered well-deserved recognition on a global scale.
