Library Triumphs with Three Prestigious Awards in Digital Accessibility Recognition Scheme 2024-2025

June 9, 2025
The Library has been honoured with three awards in the Digital Accessibility Recognition Scheme 2024-2025, highlighting our dedication to accessible online services and digital inclusivity. This recognition celebrates our ongoing efforts to implement best practices in digital accessibility, ensuring equitable access to information for all users.
Since 2016, the Library homepage has been consistently recognised by the Scheme, earning the Triple Gold Award for three consecutive terms. Additionally, both the PolyU Open Educational Resources (OER) Portal and Digital Collections Portal have each garnered the Gold award for the second time.
In 2024, the Scheme was officially renamed from the “Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme” to the “Digital Accessibility Recognition Scheme”. This change reflects the significance of promoting digital inclusion beyond web pages and encompassing a broader range of digital needs within society. The Scheme is organised by the Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited and co-organised by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer, with the Equal Opportunities Commission serving as the independent advisor.
