From Inspiration to Innovation: PolyU OWS Showcase Highlights Student Brilliance

August 29, 2025
Have you seen the life–size mannequin by the window as you pass by the Library? One of the highlights on display is a prize-winning dress created by Ms. Tina Tsoi (School of Fashion and Textiles), designed to raise awareness for Generalized Pustular Psoriasis (GPP)—a rare and lifelong skin disease that can be life-threatening if left untreated. Tina’s work is a powerful tribute to those affected by GPP, blending artistic vision with a meaningful cause.
Another award-winning installation at the showcase is an innovative passenger information display system developed by Mr Henry Yip (School of Design). Addressing the confusion often experienced in Hong Kong’s complex transportation network, Henry’s design introduces a unified brand and a seamless wayfinding experience, making navigation easier and more intuitive for all commuters.
Our students continually inspire both PolyU and the wider community with their creativity and vision. Discover more outstanding student projects that showcase creativity, problem-solving, and interdisciplinary collaboration at the OWS Showcase and on the Online Portal.
