Term Loans Return
A gentle reminder to all academic, administrative equivalent staff and postgraduate students that all Library books on loan to them are due on 22 May 2017. To avoid a last minute rush, please return books before the due date. Books borrowed or renewed on or after 24 Apr 2017 will be due for return on 28 Aug 2017. Please return all loans before leaving Hong Kong on long leave so that other users can have access to the books. Relocation of Books and Bound Journals in Apr – Jun 2017

To repurpose the Library space and enhance the study environment, the renovation work of 4/F Room L404 and 5/F Room L505 will be conducted in this summer. To prepare the two rooms for the renovation, relocation of books and bound journals has been started in mid-Apr 2017. It is planned to be completed by end of Jun 2017. During the period, please approach Loan & Return Counter on P/F if you need assistance to locate books or bound journals.

Check Library Notices in ‘Focused’ or ‘Other’ Tab in Your Outlook on the Web

ITS (Information Technology Services Office) has introduced the new “Focused Inbox” feature and it is turned on automatically in Outlook on the Web for all PolyU staff email account started 1 May 2017. It will also be available to students with PolyU Connect account soon. The emails you received will be listed separately into two tabs – Focused and Other. Please be reminded to check both tabs so that you won’t miss reading the Library notices (e.g. Items checked out, Due date reminder, Overdue library item(s), Shortened loan period/Request, Pick up requested items, etc.).

If you wish to reclassify your messages (moved from Focused to Other or vice versa) or to turn off the “Focused Inbox” feature, please refer to the ITS e-Newsletter Apr 2017 issue, or contact the ITS HelpCentre at 2766 5900.
