2007年圖書館學生意見調查

	恭喜得獎的幸運兒 圖書館送出1 GB記憶儲存器(USB flash drives)給參與問卷調查抽獎的得獎同學，以表謝意。
	三位得獎同學從大學圖書館館長歐書亭先生手中接過獎品。

以下是今次調查結果的綜合撮要及圖書館對同學意見的回應。

十項常見學生建議及圖書館回應

1. 圖書館的掃描器數量不足，使用掃描器時需要排隊輪候很長時間!現有的掃描器很老舊 !
為減低同學的輪候時間及改善掃描器的質素，圖書館將更換放置於地下影印組的掃描器，同時於三樓視聽資料部及五樓期刊部分別添置一部全新的掃描器。

2. 影印機及打印機的數量不夠，而且質素也不好，圖書館可否改善 ?
與其他層數的影印機相比，我們發現大部分同學較喜歡使用地下影印組的影印機。為平衡各層影印機的使用量，圖書館將會於所有影印室張貼顯示各層影印機位置的海報。影印組亦會密切監察圖書館內所有影印機的運作情況。

3. 圖書館提供的教科書嚴重不足!     
根據圖書館的購書指引，每本教科書最多會購買7冊。如有可供運用的資金，圖書館亦會考慮教學人員的特別要求。同學應自行購買課本，以作課堂之用。此外，圖書館亦會盡可能購買電子圖書，使更多同學可使用教科書。

4. 請購買多些中文書籍!
圖書館每年平均購買超過7,000册中文書籍，新增中文書籍約佔全年購買圖書總數百分之十九。此外，透過方正數字圖書(Apabi e-books)，圖書館提供超過86,000多本中文電子書。如有足夠資金及根據圖書館的館藏發展政策，圖書館會繼續為讀者購買更多中文書籍。

5. 圖書館關館後，廿四小時閱讀中心的環境太嘈吵，不能在那裡溫書!
為應付噪音問題，保安人員會於圖書館關館後加強巡邏廿四小時閱讀中心。圖書館亦會研究閱讀中心的使用統計數據，以配合有關閱讀座位的長期計劃。

6. 無線網絡運作不穩定，訊號在有些地方很弱!
圖書館將與資訊科技處作出協調，以加強無線網絡連接及改善頻寬。

7. 在閱讀座位區域的電插座不足夠讓我們使用手提電腦，我們甚至要使用牆上的插座，地上的電線會對讀者構成潛在危險。
多謝同學的意見。圖書館會檢討所有閱讀室內的電插座數量是否足夠，如有需要，將加裝更多電插座。

9. 我喜歡網上預約外借七日的視聽資料 (這項服務尚在試驗階段)，圖書館可以繼續保留這項服務嗎?
可以，我們很高興92%的問卷回覆均支持圖書館保留網上預約視聽資料服務，該項新服務將被納入2007/08圖書館外借政策。

宏觀經濟學研究的是國民經濟運行中的總量及其相互關系。在學習宏觀經濟學的具體內容之前，首先有必要了解這門學科的研究對象、發展演變過程及其研究方法和理論體系。

圖書館於4月17日舉辦了介紹新書商 – YBP Library Services的工作坊，教職員都踴躍參加。YBP於1971年成立，為圖書館供應書本，並且是世界圖書、音樂、DVDs及電動遊戲分銷商 – Baker & Taylor的附屬公司。是次工作坊主要介紹樣書供應(Books on Approval Plan)、示範不同選擇圖書的方法及透過GOBI新書通報服務將有關資料以電子途徑傳遞給教職員。

參與該工作坊的教職員均表示GOBI對他們的研究工作很有用，大部分教職員更表示將來亦有興趣參加類似的工作坊。

本書為當代道學權威文山遯叟蕭天石先生所精心審訂主編，所錄不但為萬卷道藏中之精華，且尤多自明清以來未收入藏之上乘丹經與孤本佚籍，為一般學人及藏書家所罕觀者，因能補道藏書之不足。凡欲深究道學之玄微、丹鼎之秘奧，及欲從事超凡入聖、超聖入神之聖功修養，卻病延年、長生不老之命功修煉，與欲探究「道家別傳」之學的內容及其哲學思想系統者，均可參考本書。本書全十七集，外集兩種，共六百餘種，所選錄古本、孤本、鈔本秘籍，共達八百餘種，註釋集解者，則達千餘家，誠堪稱為空前未有千古不朽之鉅編。

前圖書館館長貝勵敦先生

領導圖書館長達34年的貝勵敦先生（前圖書館館長）已於本年三月榮休。為表揚其傑出成就及對香港理工大學的重大貢獻，貝勵敦先生將於本年七月獲頒授榮譽大學院士，謹此恭賀貝勵敦先生獲得此項殊榮。
