Research Enhancement Centre
The centre serves as the central location with services and facilities to empower users and help developing research competency for faculty staff and students. It aims to create a comfortable and dynamic space conducive to problem-based learning, discussion and user interaction.
To provide information expertise, professional Librarians are on duty to serve as partners of researchers in the information searching and management process.
Information Consultancy Rooms
Researchers are welcome to contact respective Faculty Librarians for advice on identifying and using of various library resources.
Help Desks
Research Help - Faculty Librarians and professional librarians are there to assist researchers during their courses of researches such as literature search, locating research resources, subject related materials and tools.
Service & Technical Support – Knowledgeable library staff provides support on IT provision and other services support.
Facilities and collections are available to support the research process.
IT Lounge
Workstations are installed with a number of applications including MS Office and specialized software tools (e.g., SPSS, Adobe CS5, EndNote, SuperLab, Nvivo). Wireless printing and free scanning services is also available. Online booking is available from the Library's iBooking System.
Collection of Reference materials
Reference tools are housed in the REC for quick reference.
Interlibrary Loans and Document Delivery Services
To enable researchers to obtain resources not available in Library's collections.
Individual Research Carrels
There are 85 research carrels for researchers who require an enclosed quiet space. Online booking is available from the Library's iBooking System.
To empower researchers and to build research competency, Learning Rooms and Seminar Room provide venue for learning and interaction.
Teaching & Learning Labs 1&2
These labs provide multifunctional venues for the conduction of Information Literacy classes and varies types of instruction sessions.
Seminar Room
With its flexible seating arrangement and layout, the Seminar Room can be used for purposes such as meetings, focus group gatherings, and seminars etc.
