Provides citations and abstracts of international civil environmental engineering and construction literature dating back to 1972 and also abstracts of engineering software. The database is based on CITIS's two abstracting journals "International Civil Engineering Abstracts (ICEA)" and "Software Abstracts for Engineers (SAFE)".

The ICEA is comprised of abstracts or articles and books, standards and conference proceedings in the field of civil engineering.  The SAFE contains abstracts on thousands of software programs & services available to engineers as well as articles on IT related issues concerning today's engineer.
