Library Special Arrangements During Examination Period
(April 7 – 27, 2012)

 


(I) Anti-Noise & Anti-Seat Reservation Campaign

To ensure that our Library provides a quiet environment and adequate seats for students, the Library will conduct an Anti-Noise and Anti-Seat-Reservation Campaign during the revision and examination period (7 -27 April 2012).

Library users are reminded that:

  • SILENCE must be observed in the Library to maintain a quiet study environment, Noisy users may be asked to leave the Library.
  • According to Library Regulations (4.8), NO SEAT RESERVATION is allowed by the placement of books or other materials on tables or seats.
  • Reading areas in the Library will be patrolled at intervals and unattended belongings will be removed.
  • The Library is not responsible for any loss or damage of personal property.
  • Please be considerate, vacate your seat once you have finished. Please help us help you!

(II) Additional Seating

Additional study places will be provided during this period in the following venues:

4/F L402a (Seminar Room) +18 seats
3/F (REC) Teaching & Learning Lab 1 & 2 + 69 seats
  Seminar Room + 24 seats
3/F Media Services + 40 seats
P/F Exhibition Area +108 seats

About 300 more seats will be available for 24-hour access. Apart from the 24-hour Study Centre in Room L001, the Quiet Study Room in L003 on G/F will also be opened 24 hours during the above period.

(III) Limited Access Arrangement for JULAC Card Holders (Students Only)

To alleviate the seating shortage problem especially during examination periods, student JULAC card holders from other UGC institutions can access the PolyU Library only during the time period from 18:01-23:00 for the period from 7-27 April 2012.
